Desaturate Our World

Edward Hopper

Two men wonder why colour always eventually fades away from everything. When flowers wither and die they lose their colour, the colour in coloured paper left outside will eventually drain out, even coloured plastic will, after a long long time, have its colour seep away.

They eventually discover a parallel world to their own; this parallel world sucks out and steals the colour from their world and utilises it as their energy source. The two men then decide to introduce the concept of using colour as an energy source in their world.

Eventually, the world consumes too much of its colour as an energy source and starts to run out of colour. Future generations start to consider the sighting of something with colour a rare sight.

  1. The idea is very interesting😊
I would have loved to read a short story or poem or something written by you on this one.
Or perhaps you could start a prompt based on your ideas and invite people to write something on this premise?
Just a little suggestion:-). It is your blog, your choice on what you post.
But you have a very good imagination. I have enjoyed all your story ideas till date.

    1. Thank you! 🙂 Sometimes I will illustrate or write the story ideas in short story format (I haven’t yet, forgive me).

Thank you for the suggestion, I think that’s a nice idea, and I’d love to see how others write and interpret the small ideas. I will probably try to do that.
